The Sendai River: 3 Live Cameras in Japan — in Tottori
The Sendai River runs almost due north across the Tottori plain to the Sea of Japan. Three cameras, from Mochigase upstream to Gyotoku near the mouth.
What you can see
All three are water-level stations fixed on one spot. These three are everything the ministry runs on this river, and the order here is upstream to downstream.
Mochigase is the upstream one. From here to the mouth the river runs almost straight north.
Fukurogawara is in the middle, exactly between Mochigase above and Gyotoku below.
Gyotoku is downstream, the closest of the three to the mouth.
With one camera high, one middle and one low on a single river, you can follow a rise from the top down.

When to watch
Heavy rain and typhoons are the time. Open them in order from Mochigase and you see the water pass Fukurogawara and reach Gyotoku. Decide about evacuation from your local authority. The cameras here are for seeing how things look.
The worse the day, the darker the picture, and raindrops blur the lens. Do not expect much of the image.
On a calm day the width of the channel cutting straight north across the plain is what there is to see. The operator publishes no best season, and we do not set one here.
If it isn't showing
The source is the Chugoku Regional Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. These are test feeds and can stop without notice. How to tell why a screen is blank is in What is happening when a live camera shows nothing.
All three are in Tottori.
The other rivers in the same prefecture are The Tenjin River System and The Hino River. Open all three on one day and the difference between a plain river and a mountain river shows.
