What you can see
Two of the three come from KNB Kitanihon Broadcasting, a local station that streams the news cameras it uses on air. Toyama Station North takes in the whole plaza from the roof of the station. The other, the KNB news camera, is a single stream that cycles through four sites in the prefecture: Toyama Station North, Toyama Airport, Murodo on Mount Tateyama, and Namerikawa.
The third is the Meteorological Agency's Midagahara. Tateyama is a volcano under constant watch, and Midagahara is the lava plateau below Murodo. Steam rises from the Jigokudani valley, and the area around it stays closed because of volcanic gas.

KNB news camera (four sites in Toyama)

One stream that cycles through four places in the prefecture: Toyama Station North, Toyama Airport, Murodo on Mount Tateyama, and Namerikawa on Toyama Bay. Some days cloud runs below Murodo, and the colour of the sea at Namerikawa changes with the season.
When to watch
The two cameras that reach Murodo show an entirely different place from season to season. Snow covers the ground into spring, and the walls of the cleared road - the Snow Corridor - stand from mid-April to early June. Summer brings green and pools of standing water, autumn colour comes down from late September, and the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route closes at the end of November.
The higher the mountain, the more reliably cloud builds through the afternoon, so open these early for a clean ridgeline. Toyama Station North is the opposite: the lights of the plaza make it a night camera. The four-site stream means waiting for your place to come round, so leave it open a little longer than you would a fixed camera.
