The Ashida River System: 3 Live Cameras in Japan
A river that leaves the town of Fuchu, crosses Fukuyama and reaches the Seto Inland Sea, in three cameras. One is on a tributary at a waterworks.

All three are fixed on one spot. The order here is upstream to downstream.
In Fuchu is the upper Ashida, on the reach that runs through the town.
The Takaya River at the waterworks is on a tributary of the Ashida, filmed in front of a water treatment plant. It is an unusual spot: a river that drinking water is taken from, shown plainly.
In Fukuyama is near the mouth, after the Ashida has passed through the middle of the city on its way to the sea.

When to watch
Heavy rain is when these matter. Open them in order from Fuchu and you see the interval in which upstream rain reaches Fukuyama. Decide about evacuation from your local authority. The cameras here are for seeing how things look.
The Takaya camera faces a treatment plant, which makes it easy to read how much the water has clouded. Open it after rain to see what happens to a river that drinking water comes from.
The worse the day, the darker the picture, and raindrops blur the lens. Do not expect much of the image.
On a calm day the Fuchu camera is the one to watch: on a reach inside the town, the distance between river and houses shows for itself. The operator publishes no best season, and we do not set one here.
If it isn't showing
The source is the Chugoku Regional Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. These are test feeds and can stop without notice. How to tell why a screen is blank is in What is happening when a live camera shows nothing.
All three are in Hiroshima.
