What you can see
All three are fixed on one spot. On this river the sites are named by their distance from the mouth, so the spacing is plain to see.
24.7 km is the furthest upstream of the three cameras the ministry has here.
23.2 km is only 1.5 kilometres from the camera just above it.
6.4 km is at Shin Bridge, close to the built-up part of Hofu.
The upper two are 1.5 kilometres apart; from there to Shin Bridge is nearly seventeen. The spacing is extremely uneven, so the close pair show much the same water while Shin Bridge shows water that has run all the way down.

When to watch
Heavy rain is when these matter. With 1.5 kilometres between them, the upper two put much the same water on two screens. The wait until Shin Bridge moves is the time it takes to run those seventeen kilometres. Decide about evacuation from your local authority. The cameras here are for seeing how things look.
The worse the day, the darker the picture, and raindrops blur the lens. Do not expect much of the image.
On a calm day Shin Bridge is the one to watch: near the town and about six kilometres from the sea, the channel has widened and the water moves slowly. The operator publishes no best season, and we do not set one here.
